Welcome to the International website of Delta Epsilon Sigma Chapter - Nassau Bahamas, a proud chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. We the Brothers of DES are proud to give you a taste of paradise, and show you what the Island Brothers are all about.As you move on through our pages, you will see a chapter that has a strong history, big on Service, close knit with the ideals of Scholarship, and the family ties of Brotherhood. Our work in the community and goal to help with Scholarship is tireless and ongoing like the Cause that Speeds on its Way.Over the next few months we will be making ready, for the members of the Southern Region, their families, and all other interested Brothers, as we prepare to host the Southern Regional Conference 2010. It's not only an honor, but a pleasure to host the conference, and show the world what we are made of.We hope that this website will be one that will be memorable as well as interesting, and stimulating to everyone who visits the site. Bring your own masterpieces and audition for a chance in the spotlight. Or just relax, enjoy and be entertained by a unique plethora of performances, as well as the odd marriage proposal or two.

Blue and White Family Thanksgiving Drive
In an exemplary display of Service, the entire Blue and White Family, including all auxiliary organizations, came together to do a joint Thanksgiving Drive.
Members from the Sigma Beta Club, Archonettes and Women of Excellence joined the Men of Sigma and Ladies of Zeta in the gathering of non-perishable food items and toiletries. These goods where then divided into boxes to be delivered to a variety of underprivileged households and homes for the elderly.
The fam gathered into cars and traveled in what was almost a motorcade from destination to destination. The volume of persons was great that is wasn't until sunset that this service project ended.
Brothers Help Out at Special Olympics Fun DayIn keeping with the excellent partnership established between the Men of Phi Beta Sigma and the Special Olympics Association, the brothers were present as usual and more than happy to lend support to the Special Olympics Fun Day. The day began with a run-a-thon, in which Phi Beta Sigma was represented in. Then ended with an array of fun activities to reward the athletes for their hard training over the past few meets. Phi Beta Sigma continues to provide it's weekly support to the Special Olympics, especially the basketball division. |
